R.I.P. Palin Perez...

Greetings everyone, we hope you are all enjoying family time and reconizing all the many things you are all thankful for. However, we are very sad to inform all of you that one of our beloved SkinnyBuddha artists, a close friend and an influencial part of the SkinnyBuddha family has past away. We at SkinnyBuddha are not going to report on the situtation or all the negative energy the news has brought to his name. Rather, we would like to speak of the positivity and whole heartedness of our good friend and colligue....

Palin Perez was definitely a "character" of sorts. From his grizzly almost intimidating appearance to some of his sarcastic comments. When I first met Palin through the B-Side artists in Orlando I didnt really know what to make of the big guy with tears tattooed on his face. One thing I knew for sure was that his artwork was phenomanal and came from his life, his heart.

After our first meeting I realized that this big guy had a very big heart and was a very good friend with much life experience to share with me and who ever was around to listen. You may have stopped and checked out his art work on the corner in downtown Orlando or maybe even stopped by his shop "The Red Hook Gallery", which has been featured in many SkinnyBuddha ads and photos.

Palin led a very interesting life and I believe that had a great influence on his creativity which reflected on his artwork. Palin was always a SkinnyBuddha supporter and was behind us no matter what we were doing. He helped us further our business and prior to this deadly incident, brought in more website hits than any other artist featured on our site. Our "grinds" mirrored each others which is why I believe he was such a great fit to our SkinnyBuddha family.

I personally remember chilling with him countless times at his shop and stopping everytime I was downtown to say whats up. Other times we would just hang and pass some time talking about typical nonsense or to my surprise, some really profound conversations about life and business. Palin was always there to help us keep our heads up when we were struggling. Palin will truly be missed and if anyone out there has his artwork in their homes please send us quality pictures and we will post it to his page on our site so we can further share his artwork and name with the rest of the world.

I am at a loss for words and I can not believe that my good friend Palin has passed on. Our whole SkinnyBuddha team is sending our love out to him, to his family and everyone out there that Palin has touched through his art work and his kind words.

Palin always told me jokingly that his art will only be appreciated once he dies. We always told him that we would rather have him with us in this world than have his artwork sold. It was good for the both of us that his work did sell.  I dont think either one of us thought that our joke may actually come true. Palin Perez you will be missed. I hope you know how much you have contributed to my life and to the team at SkinnyBuddha.

On one final note SkinnyBuddha and Palin Perez will always stand firm on thing.... "F" Ed Hardy! Palin you know what im saying. I will miss you.
